We built our practice with you in mind!
Life is busy enough without feeling like your health care is just one more thing to do. At Olio Road Family Care, we want your personal health care to be a great experience—where you feel like a person and friend, not just a patient.
Olio Road Family Care is a practice in Fishers that is built around small town values like friendliness, personal attention and time. We understand the challenges of juggling jobs, children, school and activities—because we do it too. We are a part of this community. You’re likely to see us at the hardware store, the soccer field, or the local grocery. And we hope you do, because we’re in this together.

Adolescent physicals
Adolescents face many awkward changes and challenges with school, sports, hormones, emotions, etc. Olio Road Family Care recommends annual physicals for adolescents to evaluate their physical and emotional growth and development, and we help screen them for the many social changes they are going through in their lives. Please call us today to set up a physical appointment for your child.
One in five high schoolers misuses prescription drugs
Twenty percent of high-school students have taken a prescription medication that was not prescribed by a physician, according to new CDC data. According to the findings, which came from the 2009 National Youth Risk Behavior Survey, white students were most likely to misuse prescription drugs (23%), followed by Hispanics (17.2%) and blacks (11.8%). Improper drug use “increased steadily” from freshman year to senior year, according to MedPage Today. Boys and girls misused prescription drugs at similar rates (20%), while 72% of students reported using alcohol, the study found. The study authors say that educational and policy programs should be strengthened to warn teenagers about the risks of misusing prescription medication (Neale, MedPage Today, 6/3; Reinberg, Health Day, 6/3).
